Built independently.

BrewMate is an original, open-source macOS project. It was designed and developed independently and is not based on any unrelated app that happens to use the same name or a similar interface.

🧑‍💻

Original SwiftUI codebase

BrewMate was built from scratch in Swift and SwiftUI, with its own package search, installation, update, diagnostics, activity, notification, sound, and haptic systems.

🕰️

Documented development history

The public GitHub history shows BrewMate growing from the original HomePour prototype into the current app, including its earlier name, implementation, fixes, and releases.

📜

Transparent operation

BrewMate displays the actual Homebrew commands it runs, streams command output, and stores an activity history. Its behavior is visible rather than hidden behind the interface.

🧩

Independent assets and branding

The app code, icon, website, installer, screenshots, domain, and Homebrew tap belong to this project. No code, screenshots, or visual assets from another BrewMate product are used.

Name clarification: An unrelated product may also use the name “BrewMate” and may have a visually similar macOS interface. This project was developed independently and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or copied from that product.
